The United Negro College Fund Program

October 2024: I received an invitation from a colleague to write a letter to the young men, aged 14-18.  

 

She was working in partnership with a United Negro College Fund program in San Diego. The ask was to produce a letter that would be compiled with other influential Black men for the group.

 

Its substance was to provide lessons and guidance from our perspective. Reflecting on experiences and the wisdom acquired today, what insight could be shared with them from a distance?
